Mindfulness Retreat / May 12th – 14th
May 12 @ 7:00 pm - May 14 @ 5:00 pm

A retreat is an opportunity to dedicate some time to yourself, to look inside yourself, to listen to yourself, to discover who you are and what you are. This weekend it will be.
A retreat is an opportunity to dedicate some time to yourself, to look inside yourself, to listen to yourself, to discover who you are and what you are. This weekend will be an opportunity to find how to apply mindfulness with simplicity in different areas.
“The most precious gift we can offer to others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces loved ones, they blossom like trees in spring.” Thich Nhat Hahn.
And when you pay full attention to everything you do, you also flourish.
I propose three activities that will facilitate this introspection, which will not only be to look inside but also to look at everything that surrounds you from within.
More than 45 years of experience in meditation and yoga support the teachings that I share.
Somatic yoga. Somatic yoga is not about doing great poses or imitating poses you’ve seen someone do, but about learning the language of the body through conscious movement. During this retreat we will carry out an active, structured practice to create neuromuscular paths that replace the patterns that we have been applying unconsciously and that do not benefit physical well-being. We will also carry out a fluid practice, in which you will allow the body to express itself, with the minimum intervention of the mind, so that the tensions loosen up. Both active and fluid practice are based on becoming aware of bodily sensations, with the multitude of benefits that this has, among others, that it allows you to be honest with yourself, to be totally you.
Zendo in the Gavatxes
– Somatic meditation. Somatic meditation is based on bringing the mind to the body. This is what in Zen Buddhism is known as “shikantaza”, which means sitting down and not doing anything other than sitting down. It begins with a relaxation not only of the body but above all of the mind, in order to experience your own presence with clarity and depth. They are partially guided meditations.
Forest bath to be good with you
– Forest Bathing. We will take immersive walks in nature so that you can live what it is like to become aware of yourself thanks to the presence of nature. In the forest I am going to give you some indications that allow you to have an open mind to discover aspects of yourself and of nature that may surprise you. It is a way of meditating from the inside out, awakening intuition thanks to becoming aware of sensations and perceptions.
Apart from these three core activities, it will be a weekend to discover nuances of mindfulness. For example, we will prepare meals paying full attention and I will give you some keys to apply what is now known as “mindful eating”. I am also going to propose some activities to express your creativity.
The important thing of all: it will be in silence. It will not be necessary for you to be aware of what you say, of what someone says. You will be able to allow yourself to be in a productive and relaxed silence. In the words of Ramana Maharshi, silence is the highest form of teaching.
