Residential Workshop: “Dreams: Messages from the Depths” / 2nd-4th June

2 June, 2023 @ 1:30 pm - 4 June, 2023 @ 4:30 pm

Led by: Stephen Bushell

Dates: Friday June 2nd – Sunday 4th

About the residential workshop:

“The dream shows the inner truth and reality as it really is”

C G Jung.

Our dreams reveal contents of the unconscious that are seeking to emerge into consciousness to bring us to greater wholeness. The psychology of C G Jung emphasises the spiritual significance of dream material for our development towards becoming the person we were born to be, the process he named ‘Individuation’.

While the content of our dreams can at times seem insignificant or confusing, once we respect them as symbolic images, the dream material becomes a rich natural source of wisdom. Our dreams, as recognised in all spiritual traditions, are messages from the deeper layers of our being and beyond.

In this weekend course we will be introduced to how to work with our personal dream material and develop the interpretive skills of compensation, association, image formation, symbol synthesis and active imagination.  We will touch on major themes of Jungian psychology including:

  • The psyche as conscious and unconscious
  • Ego, persona, shadow
  • Personal and collective unconscious

Participants will be asked to bring some dream material to the course and also to record dreams they have while on the course.  The theory will emerge from the practical application of dream interpretation.

This course is aimed at counsellors and therapists who would like to develop their skills in working with dreams and anyone interested in exploring how dreams communicate to us  and also to learn more about Jungian psychology and its practical application.

The course will be limited to a maximum number of 12 participants and will be taught in English.

The fee includes accommodation, all meals (vegetarian), teaching, optional meditation in the morning and late evening.

Please arrive by 4.00 pm on the Friday.  The course will end with lunch on Sunday.
