23-25th September / Yoga Retreat with Julie Tucker

September 23 @ 5:00 pm - September 25 @ 4:00 pm

Dates: 23-25th September 2022

About the retreat:

Julie invites you on a retreat where body is allowed,  a deepening into posture for a deepening into being , for a rekindling of your natural vitality, inner strength and deep ease.

A yoga and meditation practice suitable for all , with or without previous experience.

Guided by a teacher with over 14 years of expereince of teaching yoga.

A practice inspired by vanda scaravelli and meditation sessions where you will be encouraged to lie down to meditate.

Each day there wil be early morning meditation, morning and afternoon yoga sessions. With plenty of free time for rest or walking/hiking in the gardens and the forest surrounding, or go and bathe in the nearby river.

The yoga sessions will begin with a gentle invitation to open up the body and then gently explore and deepen into posture, breath and meditation through the weekend.

An awakening of the dance of the spine for a deepening into the posture to emerge and unfold. Cultivating inner strength, clarity and vitality.

Inviting you to embrace much more than just ‘doing’ the posture , nourishing a deep listening to the wisdom of the body : where we are kinder , more patient , more present to ourselves and the body responds by softening, opening and the postures open to us.

With this opening to our deepest nature , a tuning into the inner , gathering guidance for autumn return. Holding the intention in this deep listening to gather and plant the seeds of your intentions for this new phase.

About the facilitator:

Julie has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2007 to small groups, one to one , retreats and workshops.

She offers yoga as a space to come back to heart.   Where there is permission to stop ‘doing yoga’ and let body wisdom reveal itself to you.   Where you work to discover health on all levels, mental, physical and emotional .

Julie is also a qualified  biodynamic cranio sacral therapy graduating from  The Karuna Institute, Devon , UK  – Karuna meaning Compassion.

She also brings her background as a Continuum practitioner and  many years of meditation practice in Vipassana/ Insight meditation  and in Deep Rest Meditation with Gemma Polo and  Jaya Ashmore https://www.jayaashmore.org –

These years of meditation and mindfulness practice show up in her teachings  in the value of the gifts of stillness and silence.

Participants often find that rather than shutting out the world the gift of silence offers a discovery of a sense of deeper ease and connection with others and life around.

All yoga and meditation classes will take place in the beautiful Sala a room with heating to be able to receive groups all year.
